Implementation of HKeToll at Tsing Sha Control Area on 7 May 5AM and related traffic arrangements

Implementation of HKeToll
  • Free-Flow Tolling Service, HKeToll will be implemented in the Tsing Sha Control Area from 5:00 am on 7 May.
  • All manual toll booths and Autotoll lanes will be decommissioned. Toll will be collected remotely via HKeToll.
  • Do not remove Autotoll tag in order to pay toll at other Government tolled tunnels.


Temporary Traffic Arrangements
  • Temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented from 11:00 pm on 6 May (Saturday) to 5:00 am of the following day on 7 May (Sunday).
  • Both bounds of Eagle's Nest Tunnel, Sha Tin Heights Tunnel and Tai Wai Tunnel, as well as their connecting roads will be closed from 2:00 am to 5:00 am on 7 May (Sunday).
  • Motorists should allow sufficient travelling time and use alternative routes (e.g.Tai Po Road, Lion Rock Tunnel).
  • Motorists should follow the instructions of on-site staff and the traffic arrangement of the road closure, and drive with utmost care and patience.

  • Upon implementation of HKeToll, temporary traffic arrangements will continue to be implementedat the toll plaza, to facilitate the removal of toll booths and road works.
  • Motorists should pay attention to on-site situation and drive safely.
  • Existing speed limit of 50 km/h will remain unchanged.
